More from the village of Kendri (Κεντρί) and it's glorious late afternoon sun. I know I have already posted a few shots from here, but, it was a couple of lovely rooms that were lit up by the low afternoon sun, so, I thought you might be able to stomach another! I hadn't visited the village in quite a few years for the purpose of taking photos and had certainly had never explored the possibility of interior shots. I do find that if I visit a village at the wrong time of day it can hamper what I do - certain times of day seem to have lots of people sat outside their house and as a result they are very interested in what I am up to and where I am going. This was one of those visits. I did however find one charming house that yielded a number of shots that I am very happy with. This trip was also the first time that I had used Kodak Ektar film and I must say I am very impressed with it. It seems to respond very well to long exposures, so I think I shall use again.
Kendri (Κεντρί) is very close to the south coast of Crete and to the large town or Ierapetra (Ιεράπετρα), so here is a map of Kendri (Κεντρί) and the surrounding area.
"And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I
don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime."
"I never said I was frightened of dying."
