Well, the photos have got a big thumbs up which I am so relieved about. I now have about 21 to deal with so you can imagine my excitement! I may post one or two here once I have cleared it with Dan, there are a few that may look good up on the blog....anyway, there you have it. I also had an interesting email today from a guy wanting to use one of my Flickr images in a book, no money but credit and a book so what the hell. No good getting to precious about it, he could have just nicked it! Interesting activity given that my creative juices have been stifled of late....just a mix of circumstances I think. The house being in chaos for weeks really didn't help and I have found it difficult to get back going
The weather this morning was glorious I have to say, the perfect autumnal morning. Low mist coating the fields as I walked to work, gradually the sun trying to force its way through. Had one of those moments on the way where the moment seems perfect, like it can't be improved upon. I'd be mildly embarrassed if I told you all about the thought process but hey it was pretty damn nice, coupled with a beautiful tune on the old Ipod. Not the one I am posting tonight...tonight's is far better, listen and weep.

Tonight's shot is from a new location. Just beyond the Lassithi Plateau (Οροπέδιο Λασιθίου) descending towards the coast. I have passed this place at Kera (Κερά) probably hundreds of times and this building which looked like a bus shelter. God knows why I stopped on this occasion but I'm glad that I did. At first I thought it was a small church, shrine or something but going in revealed so many icons and all for different saints so I have no idea of its purpose. Very cool place, more photos to follow, perhaps. Oh yea, a map. OK here is an aerial view

Please beware of them that stare
They'll only smile to see you while
Your time away
And once you've seen what they have been
To win the earth just won't seem worth
Your night or your day
Who'll hear what I say.
Look around you find the ground
Is not so far from where you are
Don´t too wise
For down below they never grow
They're always tired and charms are hired
From out of their eyes
Never surprise.

Take your time and you'll be fine
And say a prayer for people there
Who live on the floor
And if you see what's meant to be
Don't name the day or try to say
It happened before.

Don't be shy you learn to fly
And see the sun when day is done
If only you see
Just what you are beneath a star
That came to stay one rainy day
In autumn for free
Yes, be what you'll be.
Please beware of them that stare
They'll only smile to see you while
Your time away
And once you've seen what they have been
To win the earth just won't seem worth
Your night or your day
Who'll hear what I say.

Open up the broken cup
Let goodly sin and sunshine in
Yes that's today.
And open wide the hymns you hide
You find reknown while people frown
At things that you say
But say what you'll say
About the farmers and the fun
And the things behind the sun
And the people round your head
Who say everything's been said
And the movement in your brain
Sends you out into the rain.
