I know I told you the heating was done and dusted but the electrician came today just to make the whole electrical side safe. In celebration of that I have decided to crank up the heating and sit around in my pants all evening - I wasn't sure whether to leave the blinds open or not but having given it some thought I closed them. The neighbourhood almost sighed! The boiler sounds like it's whispering to me, probably saying 'Phil, put yer bloody clothes back on.' Anyway, I hope you are reading between the lines and can sense my relief that the whole thing is over. The cameras can come back out now the dust has settled and I can start scanning again.

The photo, is another from the village of Malles (Μάλλες). The village of the old woman sat on the floor and cool radio snapped in derelict house window. You remember surely? No? Well, you'll just have to click back and see, I ain't here to make yer life easy. Oh and there is the left side of this chest which I posted a few days ago. A broader view of the room will appear at some stage. The Hasselblad I use is a bit of a bitch for focussing close in that you aren't looking through the lens, the viewfinder is situated on the top of the camera. It has great depth of field from about 4 feet to infinity but when you get close the only way you can manage it is with a tape measure. I avoided the fuss for a long time but the results are coming out ok. Oh, a map. I nearly forgot. Here is an aerial view of Malles (Μάλλες).

Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I'm thinking of the days,
I won't forget a single day, believe me.

I bless the light,
I bless the light that lights on you believe me.
And though you're gone,
You're with me every single day, believe me.

Days I'll remember all my life,
Days when you can't see wrong from right.
You took my life,
But then I knew that very soon you'd leave me,
But it's all right,
Now I'm not frightened of this world, believe me.

I wish today could be tomorrow,
The night is dark,
It just brings sorrow, let it wait.

Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I'm thinking of the days,
I won't forget a single day, believe me.

Days I'll remember all my life,
Days when you can't see wrong from right.
You took my life,
But then I knew that very soon you'd leave me,
But it's all right,
Now I'm not frightened of this world, believe me.
Days.
