At a bit of a loss what to say tonight...endless rain here and the promise of more. Grey, grey, grey and the promise of more! Pretty much all I need to spiral into a pit of depression. The working full time is going pretty good but I have to say I have really got out of the habit of full time employment. Terrible really but there you have it...part time suits me just fine. I had a very pleasant nod towards my Cretan interiors last week over at The F Blog. Don't know if you ever drop by there? Well you should, always a great mix of photography. They were kind enough to post a selection of my colour interiors and black & white. It is always great to see that someone enjoys what you do but to see them in collections was great.
A while back, and I mean a while back I bought one of the new Diana toy cameras but it seems to have sat on the shelf for months. Anyway I put a film through it this week and picked up the negatives earlier today. I haven't scanned them yet but they look pretty good.....watch this space, if there is anything half decent on there then I will post it. It will have to go some to replace the Holga in my heart!

I thought that it was time to return to the delights of the Minoan Prince Hotel. As I said in a previous post if you were paying attention I did a number of interior shots on this last visit, most of which I'm quite pleased with. As you can see from this link the hotel still has a web site, kind of odd given that it seems to have been closed for about 8 or 9 years. I think I must have lost about 10 pounds in weight whilst in there! I think there are few more shots I might take on another trip, we shall see. Here is an aerial view as well.

If you have a few minutes listen to the tune below. "Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet" is a piece of music composed by Gavin Bryars in 1971. It is based around a recorded loop of an un-named tramp singing a brief stanza; eventually rich harmonies are played by a live ensemble of strings and brass, always increasing in density. The recording was originally made for a 1960s documentary by Alan Power which chronicled street life in London. Later when listening to the recordings, Bryars noticed that the clip was very in tune, and that it looped well into 13 bars.

Jesus' blood never failed me yet
never failed me yet
Jesus' blood never failed me yet
there’s something I know for He loves me so
Jesus' blood never failed me yet
never failed me yet
Jesus' blood never failed me yet
there’s something I know for He loves me...
