Ah sweet Monday! I had great plans to tackle the garden over the weekend but it just didn't happen. There was a fuel strike for 4 days and I needed petrol for the hedge clippers as it is that which needs the most attention.....I was about to say I couldn't find a garage open but in reality I visited one and they were closed so I gave up! When it comes to clipping the damn hedges I really don't need much to stop me doing it.....and it rained so I went for a cup of tea instead. If the truth be known I was in something of a dark mood Sunday so that added to my general malaise.
Last Friday we had major computer problems at work as the server fell over. It does rather restrict what can be done when pretty much all you do is tucked away on the damn thing.....and so today was the same.....frustrating and and reminded me of the frustrating time I had at my last job when the server fell over. On that occasion I had to do all the running around to fix it...luckily this time others had that pleasure!

Give me the nod if you get fed up with these but here's another from my not so occasional series temporarily titled 'Old people shot from the hip with a plastic camera' I'm not checking so I'm sure the title is slightly different each time! This charming old guy has been wandering the streets of Bath ever since I have lived here and has always had a flower in his hat. Sometimes real and sometimes plastic. It was sad to see him on this occasion as walking he was bent double and looked in a lot of discomfort and very serious. Always dressed perfectly I imagine in his younger days he really cut a dash. Here is an aerial shot of his exact location in the churchyard. Pretty much the same as the previous two ladies but from the other side. I swear if I hang around the Abbey much longer I'll get myself arrested!

Bougainvillea's bloom and wind
Be careful mind the strangle vines
The rose is climbing over blind
'Cause the sun is on the other side
The bees will find their honey
The sweetest every time
Around a Red Rose
I see a red rose, a red rose
Blooming on another man's vine
Golden Willie's gone to war
He left his young wife on the shore
Will she be steadfast everyday?
While Golden Willie is far away
Along the way her letters end
She never reads what Willie sends
Now I see a red rose
I smell a red rose
I'll pick a red rose
Blooming on another man's vine
