Well my posting seems a bit up in the air of late. Old habits die hard and I find myself champing at the bit to post another after a day. Odd, trying to tell myself to leave images that I really like for a bit longer. Give them time to live a bit or they just end up like yesterday's newspaper! That is also the motivation for getting my website re-done. At least then the images that are worthy of being included in a portfolio can be in one and easily accessed without having to fumble backwards through 700+ images.
Did those of you that needed to put your clocks forward put them forward? Jesus funny how one hour can throw you. I have been very slow to get moving today. Just had scrambled eggs on toast which was very nice. I think I'm on my third double espresso which will have me buzzing and perhaps has motivated me to sort a post out in the daylight.....something I rarely venture into!

And so the photo. Aghios Ioannis (Άγιος Ιωάννης) is the village. I contemplated posting a pretty landscape as I did take one photo of a nice old windmill with lovely mountain and text book clouds...you get the picture, but decided to carry on with me interior landscapes and the deserted homes that I love. Having said that I did take this one in colour because well as you can see it was this shocking green....perhaps that's why it sits empty. Those that come and view it end up leaving with their eyes bleeding! Anyway this village was just wonderful for empty homes, as far as I could tell part of the problem with them sitting empty was an access problem, they needed major work and there was no vehicular access always going to put off prospective renovators. Half of the village that has access seems in very good shape. Perhaps these will be left to slip peacefully away. I need reason to return!
I guess I could be shooting myself in the foot revealing where these gems are but as long as you promise to not tell anyone I will show you where Aghios Ioannis (Άγιος Ιωάννης) is. Here's an aerial view. Remember mum is the word!

Come sail your ships around me
And burn your bridges down
We make a little history, baby
Every time you come around

Come loose your dogs upon me
And let your hair hang down
You are a little mystery to me
Every time you come around

We talk about it all night long
We define our moral ground
But when I crawl into your arms
Everything comes tumbling down

Come sail your ships around me
And burn your bridges down
We make a little history, baby
Every time you come around

Your face has fallen sad now
For you know the time is nigh
When I must remove your wings
And you, you must try to fly

Come sail your ships around me
And burn your bridges down
We make a little history, baby
Every time you come around

Come loose your dogs upon me
And let your hair hang down
You are a little mystery to me
Every time you come around
