It felt odd not posting yesterday I have to say. I found myself sitting here late at night just as if I had, in fact I might as well have posted. Ah well some days I will some I won't. Trying not to lose sight of the fact it's about the photography not the blog and not to get to anal about the days I don't post. Anyway, back to work and another short week. Just how I like it. So I had two weeks away short week last week another this week then only three more weeks and I get to bugger off to Crete again. Did you see the corners of my mouth twist upwards? Well they did.
This cold snap seems to be continuing which is fine as it's dry and that really is all I demand from the weather...dry! I saw something on the news last night that said Easter wouldn't be this early again for another 250 years or something, interesting eh? No? Ah well!

Today's photo? Yeah from the last trip. I was wandering the mountains looking for a way across with a car that wasn't really designed for it! I saw this military base on the map but my intention was to steer clear given that the Greeks are a little sensitive when it comes to security issues. Wander up this mountain trail thinking it is going to this village...bugger no! Arrive at the gate of what is obviously a military establishment. Heart in mouth it then becomes apparant it is deserted! OK I'm in....it had been pretty much stripped of any interest I have to say but this little gem of a room revealed itself, almost as if it had been set up for me....God bless the Greek military! I can't show you a map as Google maps doesn't seem to cover this area...odd eh!

Take me out tonight
Where there's music and there's people
And they're young and alive
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one
Any more

Take me out tonight
Because I want to see people and I
Want to see life
Driving in your car
Oh, please don't drop me home
Because it's not my home, it's their
Home, and I'm welcome no more
And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten-ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure - the privilege is mine

Take me out tonight
Take me anywhere, I don't care
I don't care, I don't care
And in the darkened underpass
I thought Oh God, my chance has come at last
(But then a strange fear gripped me and I
Just couldn't ask)
Take me out tonight
Oh, take me anywhere, I don't care
I don't care, I don't care
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one, da ...
Oh, I haven't got one
