Well the weekend is upon us! Well almost...I've had drinks that signify the weekend. I'm late sorting out me post which is very reminiscent of the weekend! So it's good Friday tomorrow I'm sure that means something. Probably the shops being open longer or something equally exciting! As for me, Bank Holidays mean one thing. STAY IN! The roads will be manic, traffic jams everywhere, the weather is supposed to be shite anyway so there will be nothing to do. They have just been forecasting snow and high winds here, there and everywhere! Somewhere in government some elected TWAT is thinking that the third week in March is a good time to give people holiday! Crazy! I think that I shall be spending most of Easter on me ass drinking or scanning...sweet!

Another from Crete and the mountain village of Μεταξοχώρι (Metaxochori) way out at the end of nowhere. I can't imagine that they see tourists at all. An interesting place in that most of the houses are unoccupied due to damage...incredible damage to the walls and foundations to the point where they appeared to be slipping down the mountain. My immediate reaction was that at some stage there had been an earthquake...even if a small one but enough to dislodge the houses. I later found out that the village is built on a fault and is gradually slipping down the hill. Sad but I guess nature always has it's way in the end. This small house I have visited on a number of occasions and have always been taken by this beautiful cast metal cooker. The rest of the house is empty. This was obviously just asking too much to shift it. I always assumed it was a tad dark to take photos so on this occasion took the tripod to assist matters. Fancy a wander around the area? Yeah of course you do! Here's an aerial view. I do have others from this village which I will post as and when.

some escape some door to open
this path seems the blackest but i
guess it's the soonest
but there in the clearing i
know you'll be wearing
your young aching smile and
waving your hand
can't go with my heart when i
can't feel what's in it i
thought you'd come over
but for some reason you didn't
glass on the pavement under my shoe
without you is all my life amounts to

a final sleep no
words from my cutting
mouth to your ear or
taut wicked pinches
from my fingers to your bitter face
that i can't heal
i know tomorrow
you will be
somewhere in london
living with someone
you've got some kind of family
there to turn to
and that's more than i could ever give you

a chance for calm
a hope for freedom
outlet from my cold solitary kingdom
by the forest of our spring stay
where you walked away
and left a bleeding part of me
empty and bothered
watching the water
quiet in the corner
numb and falling through
without you what does my life amount to
