Saturday Sun but I stayed in, Sunday Rain and I decide to go out! I really need to sort myself out when it comes to getting out of the house. Anyway a good weekend regardless of the lost photo opportunities. I did manage to to pursue a little photo project on Polaroid around the house which I was pretty pleased with. There is still more to do but I'm thinking that at least some of it may surface on here at some stage.
I understand that there may be some football game going on today somewhere? I have been pondering staying up to watch it but I'll feel like shit tomorrow so may dip in and out until I pass out! Who's on the half time show anyway? Any entertainment to be had there? I know it has thrown up the odd surprise form time to time.

Today's image is another from the beautiful Sydney Gardens in Bath. Jane Austen wrote of Sydney Gardens that "It would be pleasant to be near the Sydney Gardens. We could go into the Labyrinth every day." Sydney Gardens opened in 1795, and were reached via the Sydney Hotel. Various entertainments were offered by the garden, bands played from the balcony of the hotel, and there were dining boxes and a series of little shelters where private groups could take refreshments throughout the day, which extended to either side of the main building. Jane Austen, who lived opposite the hotel with her parents and sister at No. 4 Sydney Place, wrote that 'There is a public breakfast in Sydney Gardens every morning, so we shall not be wholly starved.' An Oasis of calm in the city, beautifully landscaped gardens, wonderful trees. It has a railway and a canal running through the centre of it and is within 5 minutes of Bath...perfect! If you fancy a wander around then here is an aerial view. Have a poke around!

And a soul
if it is to know itself
must look
into its own soul:
the stranger and the enemy, we've seen him in the mirror.
