Sweet baby Jesus! The sun shone today and it didn't rain. My god, it was like we gained about 2 extra hours of sunshine. I know we didn't but psychologically we did. I even managed to walk home from work which was a joy. OK, off of the weather thing! Other than that I have little to report. My scans seem to be processing well so that bodes well for the future.
Ate some dodgy left over food tonight. I'm a little scared to go to bed in case my stomach starts. It's not my fault, I discovered some rather yummy looking chicken and rice dish in the fridge tonight....warmed it up and had it with a nice glass of wine. Damn yummy I thought until I spoke to Jan and she revealed to me just how long it had been in the fridge and that she had meant to throw the damn stuff out. I'm not even gonna tell you how long and they say to never re-heat rice! I have braced myself for a night or turmoil...if you never see me again you'll know it was all to much and I have flushed myself away. If I do scrape through with my cast iron constitution then I will report back tomorrow.

Don't forget to pop over to the annual Photomedia Center Holga show. I have two images up for grabs which are The Bride Of Christ and The Shape Of Things To Come. Be sure to also check out all the other great photos that are on offer there.

OK, just one more from the wonderful Motel Xenia. It will be the last for now but there are always more. Located in Amnisos (Αμνίσος, Κρήτη) Crete...derelict and beautiful. I know you have had the information below before but hey think about those poor unsuspecting first time visitors! I can't let them down...should one arrive! Anyway, there are a number in the series that can be seen easier if you pop over to Flickr. This is number 14 to be posted and I still have a few more up my sleeve. Designed by the architect ΑΡΗΣ ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΙΔΗΣ (Aris Konstandinidis) (1913-1993). He worked for E.O.T (Greek Tourism Board) between 1957-1967. Today the motel just seems to sit and decay beautifully. I have no idea how long it has been empty nor how long it will be before they level the site. It's situated right on the beach front so one would think prime building land given that it is only about 15 minutes from the airport. I have even managed to find a decent aerial view of the place. So here is a map of the Motel Xenia. The cross shaped building is the centre of the complex.

You picked me up, dried me off,
You were hopelessly devoted to my darkest hour.
Like you, I broke every rule,
Just so I'd be close to you.

Well, I was just your passenger,
Hoping you wouldn't see the sign: said "Funeral parking only."
An' if the rain would settle down,
Well, maybe we will catch a glimpse of this troubled town.

Well it's not hard to forgive,
When you're holdin' back a river of drownin'.
Well it's not hard to forgive,
When you're holdin' back a river of drownin'.

Well it's not hard to forgive,
When you're holdin' back a river of drownin'.
Well it's not hard to forgive,
When you're holdin' back a river of drownin'
