Not being one to give up easily I had another go at the gin tonight. Went for a Martini rather than a Gin and Tonic. I thought it may be better to go for pure unadulterated Gin and it worked. I really enjoyed it none of the upset of yesterday. I think it's best if I put that sorry episode behind me. I mean, when all else fails then you just can't go wrong with a Martini. Now most people would have settled there and just been grateful that their taste for Gin had returned. Not me I thought I would go for the wine experience as well, you know whilst I was on something of a roll. I enjoyed that as well! So as I enter the weekend I am ready for more...in moderation of course but falling out of love with sweet Gin was just to much to take.
They suggested that we MAY get a few snow flurries today. No such bloody luck, just damn cold. No sun, a sharp wind and cold. Still no mention of rain there so happy I am, at least it feels like bloody winter, I hate that mild grey weather. I was able to have a nice brisk walk along the canal after work with just enough pace to keep me warm, very nice. Anyone got any plans for the weekend? I haven't so if you are up to something nice give me a call and tell me about it, you know how much I care...never know it may even spark a little bit of envy in me. Not a side of me I am particularly proud of. Anyway, you have my number I gave it to you last time.

Today's image is another from the Minoan Prince Hotel. Obviously not long out of business but already fading fast. I hope that it stays empty for a while so I can monitor it's decay. I was surprised to find that there is still a website in existence for it! Take a look here at the home page and see the hotel in it's former glory! Call me weird but I kind of preferred how I found it...gracefully decaying. It looked as if it had been closed for ages but the web page suggests otherwise. For those of you with an interest here is an aerial view as well. A return visit at some stage I would think!

If the wild bird could speak
She'd tell of places you had been
She's been in my dreams
And she knows all the ways of the wind

Polly, come home again
Spread your wings to the wind
I felt much of the pain
As it begins

Dreams cover much time
Still they leave blind
The will to begin
I searched for you there
And now look for you from within
