OK another full days work! Where will it all end? The thought of at some stage doing a 40 hour week makes me feel rather odd inside so I think it is best I don't speak of it. It trips off of the tongue like a dirty word. I know I have told you that I work for a charity before but at this time of year I am amazed at the generosity of people. We rely heavily on donations from the public and they all mean something in their own way from the cheque for £1 to personal donations running into the thousands, I'm constantly amazed and humbled by people. Without their generosity us and charities like us would sink I am sure.
But so tired...felt myself dozing off on the sofa tonight and find myself now thinking what can I post that won't take too long. truth be known if I am able to get it all done and to bed by midnight I will be happy as Larry...earlier than that seems like a distant dream!
Thank you, all of you for your nice comments about Timmy and me yesterday. The photo means a lot to me, probably more than a lot of family shots....I have no idea where he is today, I have over the years tried to track him down with no success. I'd love to meet him again after 35 years or more but I guess what is more important is that he is healthy and happy. Who knows, perhaps one day.
OK, the photo, back to Crete.....enough of my ugly mug even thought I was quite pretty as a small boy! Amazing what the ravages of alcohol and 45 years does! I may post more we shall see. I had long hair in the 70's! Now there's a thought. Anyway, this is the daily fish market at Irakleio (Ηράκλειο). I posted a number of shots from it back in the day when I was shooting only 35mm, in fact there guys may have featured if I could be bothered to look. Another from the hip which apart from a little cropping I was very pleased with...I will persevere with it when next there as it's a great way to get candid shots and the ultra wide lends on the swc just lends it's self to it. Here is an aerial view of the centre of Irakleio. The fish market is very close to the mark! I think.
