My week has been uneventful. I am desperately trying to answer all of your kind comments that were left whilst I was away. Of course many decided to stay away so those will have to be careful as I will come in the silence of the night and suck the life from you! Anyway, I am getting there and you will all be seeing me soonish.
So I moaned yesterday that it was cold, I upped the layers today and was too warm. It's that time of year when a cold is easy to pick up. I hate all this on and off of layers...warm or cold I don't care, just don't give me both in the same day as It does my head in. I think I'll stop talking as my head hurts and I have nothing to say other than to tell you about today's photo.
Taken back at Easter this derelict Kafenio was in the middle of nowhere en-route to the Lassithi Plateau. The signs on the tree as I understand them are 40 day memorial announcements of the death of Maria and Athena. As far as I could tell there were no other people living close by to announce to and I certainly couldn't see any church. Having said that the map names the place as Aghios Konstantivos (Άγιος Κωνσταντίνος) so there must be a church here somewhere. I love these signs as they always give you all the names of the family left, right down to the grand children.

Competition

OK, this will be the last full week of the competition. I suggest if you haven't had a guess yet you get over there and have a go. I will announce the last day later this week. The prizes are fab. Get yourself back there and enter. Top prize is a print and life long friendship from me. I'm even contemplating offering a 2nd and 3rd prize. Sounds to good to be true right? So have a go.

lights down everything's closed
I sit outside in the rain that pins me here
you were in the trinity of my beating heart
I should have known when my heart fell from the horse
to something less than me
you were in the trinity of my beating heart
from all the rain the vines have grown over
and trap me here inside my home
there's a fence that's tired and old
escape the grove
you were the trinity of my beating heart
I should have known when my heart fell from the horse
to something less than me
you were in the trinity of my beating heart
