God those extra two hours in bed were like a dream....we had a staff meeting at work and as I work mornings the only way I could be there was to work in the afternoon....I don't want it that often but it will be sweet from time to time! I walked in and out...the sun shone and I got hot. I have little to moan about and much to be grateful for. Doesn't sound like me eh!
Thank you for tolerating the pinhole experiment...a whole new learning curve for me and something I find a little uncomfortable at the moment but they will appear from time to time when one of them comes out kind of OK!

I still have a stack of images to process from the Crete trip...I know that is a good thing but at the same time I find it kind of intimidating to have so much to choose from. In a way having just the one film back from the processors focusses the attention more. I worry when I have loads of photos that worthwhile stuff will slip through the net whilst I am dribbling over my favourites

Too much chat, especially when I have jack shit to say. Today's photo is from the last trip, during the 5 days or so of 44 degrees I did make the occasional sortie out to take photos...always with my pants full of water to keep me cool...I assume everybody does that??? Anyway, we have visited the village of Kourounes (Κουρούνες) on many occasions and had formed the opinion it was photographically sterile! So I was well pleased to round the corner and see this stonemason chipping away at the faces of stones for the new church. I'm not sure about other Greek islands but in Crete when they use natural stone they chip away at the face of every stone to put a pattern on it...looks pretty but I'm assuming in 44 degrees of heat this old guy would have rather been doing something else! All he had was an umbrella for shade....he was upbeat and was happy for me to take his photo. If you enjoy the maps of the area then here is an aerial shot.

OK guys the Photoblogawards have kicked in. If you have a mind to vote for people then here is a shortcut there!

she shadows me in the mirror
she never leaves on the light
and some things that I've said to her
they just don't seem to bite
