I would like to start this post my apologising unreservedly for my upbeat and benevolent state of mind yesterday. I fully understand it's not why you come here and so all I can do is promise I will try to not let it happen again. If it will restore your faith in my constant negativity I will promise that when I deliver the photo to Noreen I will give Zak a little nudge and perhaps not be as nice to Noreen as I might...perhaps tell her her tea is horrible or something. See what you are doing to me...I used to be nice...I refuse to be what you want me to be. I am not a number I am a free man (stolen Line)...well when Jan says I am allowed to be!
I saw a really nice pedal cycle today....you know the sort that James is rather hoping might fall off of the back of a tour truck! I think that this one belonged to someone.....should I have stolen it for him? Perhaps if his father-in-law really did save 180 professional cyclists from death they might reward him with a nice new cycle. I guess one of these days we might hear the story. Talking of saving lives, back in the 80's I saved the life of the famous British actor Derek Jacobi. Now sir Derek......the circumstances surrounding the incident have never been spoken.....Derek himself doesn't even know that it happened. All I will say is that that chiselled jaw may have been a tad more chiselled if I had not saved him! When I feel the time is right I may reveal all on here!

Today's image is one of a series that I took on the last trip to Crete. This is the local high school in the town of Neapoli (Νεάπολη). A more depressing school I think I couldn't find....it was empty due to the holidays.....it was stark and dirty, it reminded me very much of communist East Germany. However the photos seem to present it as something else and it looks kind of pretty...perhaps it's that damn Astia making it look nice. Anyway this is one of many that will be posted eventually. For those with an interest here is an aerial shot of the school, the building can be seen in the centre of the photo. Neapoli is off to the right if you want to take a look.

OK guys some of you have been wonderful enough to nominate me over at the Photoblogawards. I would like to thank all of you that have...but if you haven't then the link will provide you with a slightly easier way of doing so. I thank you in advance.
