Just Who Was Watching Who In Gournes (Γούρνες, Κρήτη) Crete?

I have an interview today, the first of the three interviews I mentioned the other day. None of the jobs fill me with joy, interviews disturb me slightly but it is the thought of new procedures and new people that freaks me more than anything. I'm not worried about being able to do the job...the sort of shit I'm getting interviews for the last thing I need to worry about is my ability to do the job. I saw Jan had washed some shirts this morning..you know the sort that need a tie! It's not that sort of job...I'm not going all ponced up...I'll break that to her in the morning.
I walked in to town today....I didn't need to but I just don't seem to be leaving the house enough and I had a few films that may of been ready from processing....so it was straight in and back. The films were ready...that was nice. I had intended to hang around town for a while but I had a difference of opinion with one of the volunteers in Bath Abbey. It kind of spoiled the trip so I came home...perhaps I'll save that for another day or perhaps not!

As for today's photo well it is another from the almost secret old American base in Gournes (Γούρνες, Κρήτη) Crete. I have no idea what this structure was used for but it appears to have been a watch tower of some description. Very close to it are some massive transmitter masts or something. The very restricted information I have is that it was a kind of listening station...I'm loathed to say too much or I will have to shoot you....or my mate Roy will have to. Anyway here is an aerial view. You can clearly see the masts in the centre of the photo and the remainder of the base surrounding it.

BBC correspondent Alan Johnston was abducted in Gaza on 12th March 2007. Video was released in the past few days of him by his captors but still more pressure is needed on the various governments to act. Why not sign the Petition in the hope that it will assist with his early release.
