Well the voices seem to have continued today, against my wishes I hasten to add! So there has been no peace in my head. I know as soon as I find someone to talk to it will go away but I have had a quiet day on the lets have a chat front! walked in to town to deliver a job application form...warm and humid but a pleasant 4 miles. I had a wander around Bath Abbey which is always nice. A peaceful refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is also a beautiful light that filters through the stained glass windows.
I walked home but arrived in a bit of a lather! I was knackered, I guess the double journey last night for my Greek lesson and this took it out of me....so I had a nap! I never sleep during the day but I took myself to bed for 2 hours...OOooo it was nice!

I'm not helping my mood. Damn YouTube, I seem to have spent the whole evening browsing songs from my past to reduce me to a wreck! What is it with this self destruction, what is it within the human psyche that makes us hurt ourselves so much when it is so avoidable? I guess they will all find themselves on here at some stage in the future.

Today's image is yet another from my wander around the Motel Xenia...derelict and beautiful. I make no apologies...I love the place and feel good documenting it before it disappears. Designed by the architect Aris Konstandinidis (1913-1993). He worked for E.O.T (Greek Tourism Board) between 1957-1967. Today the motel just seems to sit and decay beautifully. I was back there at Easter to try and capture more of it's spirit before it is levelled!. I have even managed to find a decent aerial view of the place. So here is a map of the Motel Xenia. The cross shaped building is the centre of the complex.

BBC correspondent Alan Johnston was abducted in Gaza on 12th March 2007. Why not sign the Petition in the hope that it will assist with his early release.

I've long since retired, my son's moved away
I called him up just the other day
I said, "I'd like to see you if you don't mind"
He said, "I'd love to, Dad, if I can find the time
You see my new job's a hassle and kids have the flu
But it's sure nice talking to you, Dad
It's been sure nice talking to you"

And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me
He'd grown up just like me
My boy was just like me
