OK guys I'm out of here for two weeks, off to the beautiful Island of Crete. I have no bloody job and I think Jan was beginning to tire of me under her feet already so she told me to bugger off there for two weeks....sorted! I will be staying as always in the beautiful mountain village of Kritsa (Κριτσά). I have tried to attach a map of where I am located which is tricky as the satellite maps available aren't very good, still this one sort of shows you with a little imagination. If you look at the cross shaped building that is a large church. If you come to 7 o'clock for about an inch you will see a small grey rectangular building, that is an even smaller church and the house is overlooking that. Bored yet? I'll shut up!
The idea is to post probably every other day....perhaps more frequently and I will try to add some text whilst there if I have anything to say, well I guess I always have something to just very little of it has any substance! So, we'll see how it goes and if it all goes tits up whilst there I'll have to make it up as I go along.

1730 Saturday 3rd March - OK things have calmed down since my near death experience although I do seem to have developed a fear of puddles. This may ultimately cause a problem living in the UK! Luckily since that bloody day the sun has shone wall to wall with temperatures in the mid 70's....so so sweet! I did make a return visit to Lassithi yesterday in the hope that that hole had drained and I could see just how deep it was....alas the sun was shining but the puddle full. I think I shall have to return at Easter and take a closer look at it.
Well apart from enjoying the sun, the other night I watched the Greek heat of the Eurovision Song Contest. For those Brits out there you know what it is all about for those non Europeans then take a look at the sight. This is an institution in the UK if only to watch the host of the show Terry Wogan and all the political voting that goes on. I'm fairly sure that in the UK no one takes it seriously but in Greece hell! Taken very seriously and I was there enjoying the show. The finals are in May. The Greek song chosen is one called 'Yiasou Maria' it has a kind of Rickie Martin feel if that is of any use to you. Tonight it's live Greek music, which I love....food and music perfect...would be nice to be sharing it....but it will be great never the less.
Have a great weekend peeps and well....I will be back on Wednesday....but only for 2 weeks you understand, then I am back here for Easter. I guess at some stage I will need to find me a job!

Why not spoil yourself and take a look at the nominations for the 2007 Photobloggies. You won't be disappointed. It's an honour to be amongst such talent!
