OK guys I'm out of here for two weeks, off to the beautiful Island of Crete. I have no bloody job and I think Jan was beginning to tire of me under her feet already so she told me to bugger off there for two weeks....sorted! I will be staying as always in the beautiful mountain village of Kritsa (Κριτσά). I have tried to attach a map of where I am located which is tricky as the satellite maps available aren't very good, still this one sort of shows you with a little imagination. If you look at the cross shaped building that is a large church. If you come to 7 o'clock for about an inch you will see a small grey rectangular building, that is an even smaller church and the house is overlooking that. Bored yet? I'll shut up!
The idea is to post probably every other day....perhaps more frequently and I will try to add some text whilst there if I have anything to say, well I guess I always have something to just very little of it has any substance! So, we'll see how it goes and if it all goes tits up whilst there I'll have to make it up as I go along.

1200 Monday 26th - OK the rain has stopped....for those not knowing what I am talking about go back to the last image! Not sure how long it ended up raining for but it was close to 20 hours and about 16 of it the rain was coming down in stair rods! Yesterday ended up a grey affair....ah just like the UK! The light was still good though so managed a few photos which was cool. Today is wall to wall sunshine so I need to take full advantage as the rain is set to return...the Cretans are almost as obsessed about the weather as us Brits....comes to living on a small island I guess.
On the plus side my neighbours have stopped trying to feed me which is a huge releif to me I'll tell you. The constant input of potatoes and cabbage was making me not a very nice person to spend time with! I'm sure there will be a second wave of attack from Katerina and Sophia, there is no way out of the house without passing one of their houses.....they may be old but they have ears like bats...they don't miss a trick. OK, I'm out of here I have sun to enjoy...I hope you are enjoying some too.

Why not spoil yourself and take a look at the nominations for the 2007 Photobloggies. You won't be disappointed. It's an honour to be amongst such talent!
