What a beautiful weekend, they promised sun in abundance and sun we had....wall to wall. I didn't get out as much as I would have liked but that doesn't matter the mornings were frosty and wintery the rest of the day it shone and it was so mild...FAB! I did the hair thing on Saturday...god that whole making polite conversation with the person doing your hair. It's like you are in a relationship or something they know all about you but there is constantly a 6 week break between conversations so they are never quite up to speed with your life, I seem to be constantly be living 6 weeks in arrears. The last time I had a hair cut was December...yes I know it grows more slowly as you get older...I'm just happy it is still growing and not falling out! So this visit we had to do the whole how was Christmas and New Year for you thing. Now mentally that part of my life is all over but I am forced back to it when ever I go to the hairdressers...even that feels slightly weird...I prefer barber even though they aren't that.
Sunday we made it down to the coast close to a nuclear power station....I love that mix of industry and nature. I mean that thing was cranked right up yet I could barely hear it...if that had been coal powered it would have been belching out all kind of stuff....I must say it's clean and efficient....surely we can bury that waste deep enough.....we need to ship that stuff to the moon or something. Anyway it was beautiful in an industrial eyesore kind of way and those three eyes four tailed fish must have commercial benefits right!

Today's shot is another from my recent visit to the Somerset Levels. An amazingly flat place that seems prone to flood at the merest hint of rain. Still it is home to a host of wildlife. For those of you fancying a scan about the landscape here is a map showing you where the photograph was taken on Sedgemoor.
