Keeping the Fire Burning at Vrises (Βρυσές) Crete

Most of these shrines - for want of a better word - seem to have oil lamps burning in them no matter how remote the location or what time of day you seem to be passing. I had only paused to admire the view when this old lady turned up to do her thing. I couldn't have planned it better. In the distance can be seen the small village of Nikithianos (Νικιθιανός) and the new national highway running along the base of the hills. There is a colour shot of the woman also taking the view which I may post in the near future.
