Shutter and Vine at Kato Horio (Κάτω Χωριό) Crete

Well I thought after the assault on your eyes over the last few days I would ease back with some black and white! The strange thing about grape vines in Cretan villages seems to be in the fields they are low grown, the sort of vines most of us are used to but in the villages they grow them to enormous hights! At times I wonder where the leaves and fruit are. They are usually grown outside the fronts of houses and then go up up up! I assume that they are after the sun and as the majority have flat roofs that is the ideal place for them...even though it takes 20 years for them to get there.
