OK, I think that I may have told the story on another post. Easter Sunday the three major churches of the village ( and there are many, many more than 3!) parade through the streets of the village and meet at one church. This is one of the churches. Once the congregation have left on their travels this is the guy that maintains the slow monotonous ring of the church bell for about an hour.
Strangely there is another bell ringer at the church...who will figure in another post...who is the fast bell ringer! I must say from this photo that this chap doesn't seem that he would be up for anything too vigorous!
